"BROOKLYN WEST"

MAPLEWOOD MARKET REPORT

Maplewood is a Township in Essex County, NJ. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 23,867.

Maplewood is a village bursting with charm, filled with home to a variety of restaurants, galleries, street events and even free parking. The New York Times refers to Maplewood as “Brooklyn West”, as do many Maplewood residents. It’s not uncommon to find folks who have moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn to Maplewood, an “extension of the hip, cultured, community-involved lifestyle they’d grown accustomed to in New York.” (1)

Popular Maplewoodstock is a free music and art festival featuring local and national bands. It takes place every year - the 17th Maplewoodstock will be held Sat, July 11, and Sun, July 12, 2020.

Maplewood Township's popular Jitney Service transports Maplewood commuters to and from Maplewood Train Station. The Jitney Service runs Monday through Friday (except municipal holidays), on a fixed route. There are several runs each morning from 6:00 am to 9:00 am, as well as in the evening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
